On the evening of June 15th, the English Group of Tsinghua High School Affiliated High School 23 was honored to invite Mr. Weil, the English teaching and research leader of the International Department, to give a lecture on the theme of "American High School Campus Culture"。The lecture attracted the participation of many students and all English teachers, demonstrating the uniqueness of American education and the diversity of campus culture。

Mr. Weil used his personal experience as a starting point to show his students the three major forms of American youth education: public school, private school and home school。He skillfully uses the four-quadrant theory to analyze in depth how different success criteria and values affect the choice of educational style。In the second part of the lecture, Mr. Weil further analyzed five different student groups and their characteristics in American high schools, and vividly showed the representative images of each group through selected film clips。

This lecture is the second in a series of lectures jointly organized by the English Group of High School 23 and the International Department of the Affiliated High School, and it is also an innovative attempt in the context of the school classroom revolution。As early as January 5, 2024, Mr. Weil introduced the American family structure and culture to the students in depth, which also received warm responses。Teacher Weil's lectures not only close to students' actual life, but also showed his deep understanding and respect for Chinese culture while introducing American culture。His language expression is accurate and authentic, which effectively broadens the students' vocabulary and stimulates their cross-cultural thinking。

Looking ahead, the English Section of G23 plans to continue to strengthen exchanges with the International Department, hold more lectures on topics closely related to student life, and explore various modes of cooperation。This can not only enhance students' enthusiasm for English learning and awareness of cultural exchange, but also help teachers of the English Group of the Department to expand their teaching ideas and methods, promote the development of classroom revolution, and cultivate innovative talents with both national feelings and international vision。
